Noted by the New York Times as a "dashing lyric tenor", Ganson Salmon has gained recognition for his "powerful and nuanced" performances in New York City and abroad. (Opera News) Most recently, he made his role debut as the Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto with Indianapolis Opera. Last season, Ganson stepped in on short notice to appear as Anatol in Barber’s Vanessa at the Kennedy Center with the National Symphony Orchestra. He also appeared as Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly with Opera in Williamsburg, Macduff in Macbeth with Opera Orlando and as Ernesto in Don Pasquale with Opera Tampa.

In the 2023-24 season, Ganson sang as Roméo in Roméo et Juliette with Arizona Opera, and Alfredo in La traviata with Muddy River Opera. In the 2022-23 season Ganson returned to Tel Aviv, Israel to sing Don José in Carmen with Tel Aviv Summer Opera, where he also jumped in as Rodolfo in La bohéme. In 2021 he was a fellow at Ravinia's Steans Music Institute and a Gerdine Young Artist with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. 

In 2020 Ganson returned home to Indianapolis, debuting as Pinkerton in a live broadcast production of Madama Butterfly with Indianapolis Opera. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ganson spent two seasons with Sarasota Opera, where he jumped in to make his role debut as Roméo in Roméo et Juliette, covered the Duke in Rigoletto, and performed Pong in Turandot and First Armored Man/Second Priest in The Magic Flute. Ganson received his Master's in Voice from Mannes School of Music in NYC.
