The traditional daytime events of Tanglewood On Parade are reimagined to celebrate the Berkshires, featuring TMC and BUTI ensembles, storytelling, high school marching bands, a collaboration with Festival Latino, dancing on the lawn, and a joyful parade to the Shed. In the evening, the Tanglewood Music Center Fellows join members of the BSO to perform music by Copland, Tchaikovsky, and Loggins-Hull. The program will include Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 “Pastoral,” performed without a conductor — one example of what happens when friends and neighbors work together with a common purpose.
